ABOUT

Paula Ordoño

Hi, I'm Paula

A Madrid-born photographer, currently shooting from Lombok, Indonesia.

It all started when I was twelve. My first camera was a small Olympus — a gift I carried everywhere. By sixteen I'd saved up for my own Canon reflex, but for a long time I preferred being in front of the lens rather than behind it. Through my teenage years I worked as a model for several projects in Madrid.

Everything shifted when I moved to Istanbul. The city was so impossibly beautiful that I couldn't stop photographing it. I shot only film back then, and slowly the camera became the way I understood the world. My friends and family kept pushing me — the photos were good, they said. They were right.

I went back to Madrid to finish my law degree, but I knew that path wasn't for me. I bought the camera I shoot with today, packed up, and moved to Indonesia. I've been here on and off for the past eight months — the happiest I've ever been — learning to photograph surf, falling in love with the ocean, and chasing the kind of light I've been chasing since I was a kid.

Today I work with fashion brands, surf camps, athletes and editorial features — creating images that feel honest and look unforgettable. What drives me is the same thing as always: light, places, and the people who fill them.

Currently shooting from Lombok, Indonesia. Available worldwide for commissions and travel.
